Run Fest | Silverstone is a very popular running event held at the iconic Silverstone Circuit, the legendary home of the British Grand Prix. Runners of all abilities take to the world-famous track to complete a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, or Family Mile.
This year we partnered with Run Fest | Silverstone to help bring climate impact to the event on the day and a virtual challenge also took place over the weekend where anyone could log a run and remove plastic too.
During the weekend, runners helped fund the removal of around 8,500 plastic bottles (equivalent to 170 kg of ocean-bound plastic) from the ocean.
The event was a huge success and a great example of maximising the climate impact of an event both in person and virtually.
