The One for the Planet 2025: Community, climate action and sport

The sun came out for The One for the Planet, and it was an epic morning of everyone making their movement matter for the planet.

With over 300 participants, we removed 250g of ocean plastic (20 plastic bottles) for everyone joining our Climategames challenge and crossing the finish line. We also planted a tree for everyone who bought a ticket.

There were over 8 different events from full Triathlon to 5km runs, all of which helped restore the planet.

The impact didn’t stop there, either. We danced, sang, cheered and celebrated as each participant sped over the finish line, some completing their first ever triathlon or 5km, others were seasoned veterans using this event to test their legs ahead of qualifying for the European Championships.

This is what sport is about – connecting communities and people together for an incredible shared experience all the while helping the places where we love to run, ride and swim.

"It really helps with motivation, it was one of the reasons we wanted to support this event, more so than others,” said Lionel, event participant.

Creating a community of eco-conscious brands

We are huge believers in connecting people with environmental purpose and building a like-minded community which celebrates this.

Alongside removing plastic from the ocean and planting a tree for every ticket sold, our event village at The One for thePlanet included a selection of eco-conscious brands who want to help consumers make better choices with their sportswear and nutrition.

Brands included:  LUCA (women's cycling clothing), Wilda Swim (wetsuits) The Wildlife Trusts (animal protection) and Divine Fusion Nutrition (protein shakes).
