Climategames is supporting Project Salt Run

We’re thrilled to announce that Climategames is supporting Project Salt Run!

Hannah Cox, founder of the Better Business Network, is currently running 100 marathons in 100 days across India and taking on a route which retraces the Inland Customs Line, a colonial barrier built to enforce a devastating salt tax.

The challenge is an opportunity to revisit a forgotten chapter of history and to tell a story of change and hope while also  raising £1 million for 1% for the Planet, Big Change, Frank Water and Client Earth.

We are offsetting Hannah's carbon footprint and encouraging others to join her with our virtual challenge on the Climategames app - you can get involved by joining the event and logging a run!

More about Project Salt Run

In October 2025, Hannah Cox, a first-time ultrarunner and purpose-led entrepreneur will be the first person to run 100 marathons in 100 days along the Indian section of the Old Inland Customs Line, a forgotten colonial boundary which stretched across India and Pakistan.

This historic route once enforced a devastating salt tax. Now, it's being reimagined as a path toward connection and change.

Starting at the border in India, Hannah will run west to east through nine states, finishing 100 days later at her father’s childhood home in Kolkata.

Along the way, she’ll shine a light on stories, past and present, that reveal the legacy of the line and the people reimagining a better future, leaving the route to explore cultural marathons along the way.

As she runs, Hannah will share powerful human stories from communities navigating environmental and economic challenges. Celebrating resilience, courage and the power of belief in something better.

Join the Project Salt Run virtual event on the Climategames app today and support Hannah.
