How Clarke Willmott united its workforce through tree planting and movement

Clarke Willmott employees from across the UK have successfully completed the firm's challenge, a nationwide initiative powered by Climategames that combined physical wellbeing with environmental action.

The challenge encouraged employees to work together in teams to collectively travel 26,000 kilometres through physical activity, with the reward being the restoration and planting of trees across the UK. Participants exceeded expectations, reaching their target with a week to spare and demonstrating an exceptional commitment to both personal health and sustainability.

As a result of the collective effort, 1,000 trees have been planted, creating a lasting environmental legacy and supporting biodiversity across the UK.

Among the standout achievements, the most active participants logged more than 150 hours of exercise in a single month, highlighting the enthusiasm and dedication shown throughout the challenge.

Karen Higgins, Head of ESG said: “It was fantastic to see such a high level of engagement from colleagues right across the business. What made this challenge particularly powerful was its inclusivity, everyone was able to take part in a way that suited their lifestyle, whether that was through daily walks, or more intensive activity. The collective effort not only supported individual wellbeing but also delivered a meaningful environmental impact, demonstrating how small actions, when combined, can drive significant change.”
